Dr Elly Slatterie-Smith
My name is Elly, I graduated from RMIT university with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy).
I first learned about osteopathy because of a basketball injury when I was young, and I was captivated by its individualised and all-encompassing approach to therapy. I had never heard of an osteopath before and 10 years later here I am hoping to grow and inspire others in my own time in private practice.
I have completed my certificate IV in Reformer and Matwork Pilates which is one of my passions. I believe that Pilates is a great addition to any clinical consult, and I use Pilates in conjunction with my hands-on osteopathic treatment to help my patients to thrive and be pain-free.
I believe that compassionate, patient-centered care should focus on the goals and capabilities of patients.
I am a structural practitioner, and I am passionate about treating a wide range of conditions and in particular sports/training related injuries.
Outside the clinic I enjoy practicing Pilates, baking, reading and gym. I am also an animal lover, who adores spending time with my two Burmese cats.
